Overview

Uttero is a voice dictation app for macOS. Your privacy is our priority.

Voice Processing

Offline mode: Your voice is processed exclusively locally on your device using WhisperKit. No data leaves your computer.

Online mode: If you choose online mode, audio recordings are temporarily sent to OpenAI Whisper API (model gpt-4o-mini-transcribe) or Soniox (model stt-rt-v3) for transcription. Audio is processed and then deleted. Data is not permanently stored or used for model training.

Data We Collect

• Anonymous usage statistics (number of transcriptions, features used)
• Technical information for error diagnostics

Data We Don't Collect

• Content of your voice recordings (in offline mode)
• Transcribed texts
• Personal information
